Cancel Subscription Renewal
Canceling a subscription in SteadyEdge currently cancels renewal. It does not immediately delete the active subscription period.
What this is
This article explains the current cancel-renewal behavior.
When to use it
Use this article if:
- you want the current paid period to finish without renewing
- you started a Basic trial and do not want automatic renewal
- you need to confirm what happens after cancellation
Before you start
Important current behavior:
- cancellation sets cancel_at_end
- the active period remains usable until expiry
- the account falls back to Free limits after expiry if no new paid subscription is active
- cancellation does not refund already used or active time
Step by step
Step 1: Open Billing
Go to Dashboard -> Profile -> Billing .
Step 2: Review current subscription
Check:
- plan name
- subscription status
- expiry date
- renewal state
Step 3: Cancel renewal
Use the cancel-renewal action and confirm the dialog if shown.
Step 4: Plan for fallback limits
After the paid period expires, your account uses Free limits unless you subscribe again.
Common mistakes
- expecting cancellation to stop the current period immediately
- canceling a trial and still expecting automatic Basic renewal
- forgetting that Free limits change backtest periods and public visibility
