Registration And Login
SteadyEdge supports email/password access and can also support Google sign-in when that integration is enabled. Registration is quick, but email verification still matters because the platform blocks backtests and bot starts for unverified users.
What this is
This article explains how to create an account, sign in, recover access, and finish the minimum account checks required to use the platform without friction.
When to use it
Use this article if you want to:
- create your first SteadyEdge account
- log in with an existing account
- use Google sign-in when it is available
- request a password reset
- understand why verification still blocks trading workflows
Before you start
Prepare the following:
- a working email address you can access now
- a password with at least 8 characters
- at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, and one digit in that password
Important current platform behavior:
- successful registration signs you in immediately
- new users currently receive a $5 registration bonus in available balance
- Google sign-in should only be expected when the Google button is visible
- password reset requests may be rate-limited if requested too often
Step by step
Step 1: Open the correct auth flow
You can enter the auth flow from:
- the public homepage
- the login screen
- the registration screen
If you arrived through a referral link, the registration request can include the referral code automatically.
Step 2: Create an account
To register with email:
- Open the Register tab.
- Enter your email.
- Create a password with at least 8 characters, including a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter, and a digit.
- Confirm the password.
- Submit the form.
If the Google sign-in button is visible, you can also continue with Google instead of creating a password-based account.
Step 3: Verify your email
After registration, check your inbox and complete email verification as early as possible.
If you do not receive the message:
- Sign in to the dashboard.
- Open Dashboard -> Profile .
- Stay on the Profile tab.
- Use the resend verification action.
Step 4: Log in on future visits
To log in again:
- Open the auth flow in Login mode.
- Enter your email and password.
- Submit the form.
If you use Google, choose the same Google account you used during registration or linking.
If you later enable two-factor authentication in your account settings, login can require the extra 2FA step as well.
Step 5: Recover access if you forgot your password
If you forgot your password:
- Open Login .
- Click Forgot password .
- Enter your email.
- Wait for the reset message.
- Open the reset page from the email and set a new password.
What you should see
After a successful setup, you should have:
- a working sign-in method
- an active dashboard session
- a visible verification status in Dashboard -> Profile
- no auth blocker when opening protected dashboard pages
Common mistakes
- using a password that is long enough but still misses lowercase, uppercase, or numeric characters
- assuming Google sign-in is always available in every environment
- treating successful registration as enough to run backtests and bots
- using a different Google account than the one originally linked
- repeating password-reset requests too quickly and hitting rate limits
